Slippery Rock University’s Sport Management 41st Anniversary Celebration
Slippery Rock University Sport Management Department is hosting its 41st Anniversary Celebration on April 14, 2018 at 6:00pm. To celebrate this event, the department would like to invite all alumni, friends, and family to the 41st Anniversary Banquet hosted in Russell Wright Alumni House and Conference Center. Revenue generated will be used for the Sport Management Scholarship Fund, which annually awards two $750 scholarships to deserving students. The Sport Management Department will also use the proceeds of the event to help support the VeloSano: Bike to Cure Foundation. Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the 41st Anniversary Banquet.
Slippery Rock University's Sport Management Golf Outing
This is the 8th year of the Slippery Rock University Sport Management Charity Golf Outing. Each year, the department chooses a charity to donate the profit of the golf outing to. We have worked with The Cleveland Clinic VeloSano Ride, which has raised over $12 million for cancer research since 2014. Golfers can sign up as a foursome, or as a single for the event, which will be on April 14th, 2018. The cost for a single golfer is $60, with a foursome being $240. During the outing, events such as "Longest Drive" and "Closest to the Hole" will also take place, allowing for golfers to go above and beyond their typical golf experience.
Course Information: The 18-hole "Old" course at the Saxon Golf Course facility in Sarver, Pennsylvania features 6,603 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. Designed by Frank Ekas, the Old golf course opened in 1959. Frank Ekas, Jr. manages the course as the Co-owner/ Superintendent.
