Charitable Gift Annuity

A charitable gift annuity is a simple transaction between you and Slippery Rock University Foundation.  In exchange for your irrevocable gift of cash, securities, or other assets, Slippery Rock University Foundation agrees to pay one or two annuitants you name a fixed sum each year for life. Payments are guaranteed by the general resources of Slippery Rock University Foundation, Inc. 
The older your designated annuitants are at the time of the gift, the greater the fixed income Slippery Rock University Foundation can agree to pay. 
In most cases, part of each payment is tax-free, increasing each payment's after-tax value.  Payments can be made to you in annual, semiannual, or quarterly installments.  Also, payments can be deferred from the time of the gift to increase the payment amount. 

Annuity Benefits

  1. You qualify for a federal income tax deduction.
  2. Annuitants you name receive fixed annual income for life, about one-half is tax-free. Payments are guaranteed by the general resources of Slippery Rock University Foundation Inc., starting in the year you choose.
  3. Your estate may enjoy reduced probate costs and estate taxes.
  4. You provide generous support of Slippery Rock University
