​To remain a first choice organization, we must consider new programs, new partnerships, and new approaches. We are our community, and as such, committed to impact and collaboration. The university and our community are interrelated and we rely on one another for survival.

We will engage with community partners in a manner that is true to our first-choice brand. We will listen; we will learn; and we will share. We will need to work across disciplines within the university and across systems within our community.

The President's Interdisciplinary Research Fund focuses on eliminating barriers, creating clear spaces to advance solutions to complex societal issues and expanding our ability to provide meaningful solutions to prosperity. 
My vision for the future of Slippery Rock University has been clear from the very start. I want this university this university not only to survive, but to thrive, for the next 134 years, and beyond.
